Preparing for a Shoot

Having a photo shoot involves more than your idea selfie! While a photographer must consider lighting, equipment, and best angles; you must decide on a theme, what props (where applicable), wardrobe and personal care to get the best possible image in camera! Yes, in camera. Your raw image should not require major editing. While the photographer will clean up an image (coloring, skin imperfections, etc) the photo is designed to look like you; not a version of you that doesn’t really exist. oops hope that wasn't harsh …

For the best quality image, be sure to schedule an appointment at the salon for hair, nails, pedicure (if bare foot) and professional makeup. You are the canvas that the photographer uses and your success is our success!
